The fuel cell is not anchored properly so that'll have to be done as well.  Also the steering shaft has been modified (by John Thon) to accommodate the new steering wheel and quick release hub.

The fuel cell needs to be moved up and in order to do that we need to slide it to the left.  These bars are bolted in to support the cell.

Upon opening up the motor to replace the oil pump we discovered that the crankshaft and pistons we toast.  Looks like we'll have to start over and build a new motor.

I find out that the front hubs are cracked.  So I decide to rebuild the front and rear suspension.  I put in new bearings and seals (front and back), new king pins and hubs on the front as well as shimming the front axles and king pins.  It takes many hours but I am confident that the car is much more safe.

Kendall Jones comes over with his plasma cutter and we start cutting away extraneous parts of the chassis, doors and fenders.  This is fun.

To reduce weight even more, I remove the door latches and replace them with pins.  A new side mirror comes in.  Its also lighter but, more importantly, I can see out of much better.

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, we finally figure out that a journal has been plugged in this motor.  We need to drill it out and then we'll have normal oil pressure.
